Every ceramic student at SF Lowell Highschool has made a decorative ceramic "spike" to adourn the giant water dragon earthbench. This 30 foot diameter earthbench will serve as an outdoor classroom for the Lowell HS garden. Students spent the past month designing, glazing, and firing their pieces for the dragon. They learned how to make attachment holes and how to use chicken wire and cob to attach them into the bench.

In addition, advanced ceramic students are making eyes, eyebrows, whiskers, teeth, and nostrils for the dragons head. Pictures to come soon!
